CENTER STAGE
This project was developed in collaboration with AZ Factory, merging their expertise and dead stock fabrics with my concept and execution. Hand-patterned and stitched in May 2024.
Inspired by DADA artist Hannah Hoch, the Triadisches Ballet, and an interrupted WW2 drag performance, the final look consists of three distinct garments: pink satin duchesse military shirt with puff sleeves, military-style asymmetric pocket tutu shorts, and a double lined combination coat dress.
THEMES: World War, Dadaism, show/tell, fighting in costume (what is a uniform?), external-internal, masculine-feminine.
